3. No Solicitor-Client Retainer or Formal Legal Advice Created

The materials, insights, and fee calculators published on this website are provided for general informational purposes only. They do not constitute formal legal advice and must not be relied upon as a substitute for case-specific legal representation.

No solicitor-client relationship (retainer) is formed merely by reading articles, submitting an initial enquiry form, or generating an indicative fee estimate. Formal legal representation commences only when conflict and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks are completed and a written Client Care Letter and Terms of Engagement are executed between you and Sky Solicitors Ltd.

4. Financial Services Authority Notice (FSMA 2000)

Sky Solicitors Ltd is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). However, where relevant to a legal retainer, we are included on the register maintained by the FCA so that we may carry on insurance distribution activities (broadly, advising on, selling, and administration of insurance contracts such as title indemnity or After-the-Event insurance) as an Exempt Professional Firm regulated by the SRA. We do not provide regulated investment or independent financial advice.

5. Consultation Payment & Refund Policy and 14-Day Consumer Cancellation Right

Pre-Paid Consultation Refund Policy: Where an initial consultation is booked on a pre-paid consultation basis, a full refund is provided for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Subject to your statutory cancellation rights below, payments for consultations or legal services that have already been rendered are non-refundable.

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (14-Day Cancellation Right): If you instruct us as an individual consumer (acting wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft, or profession) and your retainer is entered into as a “distance” or “off-premises” contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the statutory right to cancel your instructions within 14 calendar days without giving any reason. Full details of how to exercise this right and a statutory cancellation form are provided in our Client Care Letter.
